The Dallas Graticule

The Dallas, Texas graticule is located around latitude 32, longitude -96. This area is mostly land, but does include a number of lakes. For our purposes, it shall also include those areas up to President George Bush Turnpike commonly referred to as Far North Dallas. The graticule contains a mix of both urban and country locations which should lead to an interesting mix of meeting places.

Notable Dates

2008-05-26: Memorial Day 2008 is an easily accessible location in Seagoville. From Dallas, take US 175 to the Belt Line exit. The actual location appears to be on a public street, which should be reachable at 4pm. Before and after, however, would be much more comfortable at the nearby Dairy Queen. There's also a Sonic, McDonald's, and 7-11 at the corner, but Dairy Queen is more "Texan".

Am I missing something? On all the google maps implementations I'm looking at, the point appears off a country road east of waxahachie and west of 45, far to the southwest of Seagoville.

(Um, this should probably be in "discussion", but the point described above as "east of Waxahachie" is the point for today, 5/23. Try plugging 5/26 into the tool. --RobertB 16:25, 23 May 2008 (UTC))
