Revision as of 16:43, 13 January 2022
This is a page for the translation of main page into Chinese (thanks Fippe for creating this page for me). I will start working on the translation soon. If anyone speaks Chinese and wants to help, you can help too! LZ (talk) 10:40, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Ummmm... I think I might need to add a line to the translated main page, which won't matter outside mainland China. It roughly says as follows (I haven't figured out the exact wording yet):
“因中国大陆地图偏移问题,在中国大陆获得的GPS坐标将不能完全对应地图上展示的坐标。两者将会有方向和距离上的随机偏差,距离偏差约为50-500米。有偏移的地图包括但不限于百度地图和国际版谷歌地图。如果你准备使用地图进行导航,请确保目的地的真实坐标于Geohashing坐标一致。网上有对此偏移进行修正的工具,网页和app,在此不以介绍。”
Which basically means:
“Due to the GPS shift in mainland China, the GPS coordinates will not match exactly with the coordinates acquired by a map. The two coordinates have random shift in magnitude and direction, the magnitude of the shift is about 50-500 meters. Shifted maps include, but do not limit to, Baidu Maps (which is a Chinese map) and the international version of Google Maps. If you are to navigate using maps, please make sure that the true GPS coordinates of your final destination agrees the Geohashing coordinates. There are tools, websites and apps which fixes this problem, they will not be introduced here.”
I still haven't decided where to put it. Any suggestions? LZ (talk) 08:10, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
