As usual, I delayed my expedition, and only set off around 8 pm to be back before dark and eat dinner at a reasonable time. Because my bike's chain had ripped two days previously and I hadn't fixed it yet, I borrowed my dad's old bike. I cycled 8 km, 5.6 of them on the ''Korl-Barmstedt-Weg'', the old railway track between Ulzburg and Bad Oldesloe that was decommissioned in 1973 and turned into an extremely pleasant cycling path. The hash lay on the very edge of a field, only 10 m from a dirt track. I had to scramble along the edge of the field for 40 m, then found the coordinates literally ''on'' the transition from soil to nettles (accuracy one metre). I took pictures with Jackie & Eagle and then cycled 700 m to the nearby bridge across the Alster River, which is no more than a brook here, but still has a nice view. Right there, I finished my audiobook and then cycled back home. A very comfortable expedition with no stress, no cars, nice weather, and just the right length.

Expedition

As usual, I delayed my expedition, and only set off around 8 pm to be back before dark and eat dinner at a reasonable time. Because my bike's chain had ripped two days previously and I hadn't fixed it yet, I borrowed my dad's old bike. I cycled 8 km, 5.6 of them on the Korl-Barmstedt-Weg, the old railway track between Ulzburg and Bad Oldesloe that was decommissioned in 1973 and turned into an extremely pleasant cycling path. The hash lay on the very edge of a field, only 10 m from a dirt track. I had to scramble along the edge of the field for 40 m, then found the coordinates literally on the transition from soil to nettles (accuracy one metre).
