Plans

To find the geohash

Expedition

En route from Shuna to Caolascacon, i.e. phase one of our anniversary holiday to phase two. We had a few hours to kill before being able to check into our caravan let, so we came here for a wee walk part the way up a mountain and a relatively easy geohash find in another new graticule. The car parks were pretty full with tourists but we found a space at the best one for our purposes, and followed the path that runs alongside Allt Lairig Eilde and eventually crosses it. After the crossing, we came off the path and crossed some mildly boggy grassland for a few hundred metres to the day's zero point. Excellent views from here, I think most geohash locations on most days will be no match for this. We clambered up a near mound to get the views and Steph, who's a geologist, was able to spend some time enjoying the rhyolite.
