Since my feet were already swimming, I didn't have to worry about the wetness of the ground. Plans

Only 3.2 km from home, the closest in over a year! I've cycled past this lot countless times, and went past in the train even more often. Probably going to cycle there in the afternoon or evening.

Expedition

Just one more until my 200th geohashing expedition (not counting globalhashes)!

I spent the day at Leidenfrost's, watching the Women's World Cup (Germany lost 1:2 to Colombia), then watching Formula 1 and playing games with his flatmates. In the early evening, I drove his car to a repair shop in Ulzburg, getting dangerously low on fuel, and then walked 20 min to the station where I'd left my bike in the morning. On the way, it started to rain heavily, and despite having a jacket and an umbrella my light shoes were soon completely drenched. Unsure whether I should first cycle to the hash or home to wait out the rain, get dry shoes and leave my backpack, I decided to go to the hash first when the rain started to calm down a bit.

Covering my backpack and my saddle with their respective water protections, I cycled 3 km northward from the station on very familiar paths. I didn't have to make any turns and soon reached the empty lot, which to my relief was not fenced and consisted of knee-to-hip-height unchecked vegetation. Since my feet were already swimming, I didn't have to worry about the wetness of the ground. I located the coordinates 75 m from the road and 35 m from the train tracks, which I don't think is close enough to qualify as Déjà-vu. After taking pictures, I cycled the same way home.

Land geohash, Bicycle geohash (I did cycle the entire way to the hash, just took a long detour), Drowned Rat (I wasn't sure whether I was on an expedition when I got drenched, but it later turned out I was. I think that counts.)
