I changed the name to Speedrun achievement, since the majority seems to be in favour, and also changed the ninja icon to a clock icon. Changing my vote to '''support'''. --[[User:Fippe|Fippe]] ([[User talk:Fippe|talk]]) 13:49, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

I realise this might get maybe against the spirit of meeting other hashers, but it's not meant to get hashers in a rush (obviously obey always speed limits and such). Sometimes you are the only hasher in a graticule, so you will most likely not meet anyone. Or the hash is really close from home/work but you have a really busy day, so you try to get there fast and continue with your duties. As parameters for the ribbon it could have the number of minutes it took the whole expedition.SastRe.O (talk) 12:51, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

Needs Work: A Ninja Geohasher is something else. If this becomes an achievement, another name must be found. --Fippe (talk) 13:07, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

I'm in two minds about this. On one hand, it's a good goal to give people; it changes the goal of an expedition and adds an extra layer to it. On the other hand, rushing through geohashing can dampen the overall experience and potentially make it less enjoyable. I think, overall, I support this achievement, but with three minor changes:

  • The references to ninjas need to be replaced as that already refers to something else within the community.
  • The achievement page should mention that this should not be a goal for every single geohash and that enjoyment is the main purpose of the expedition instead of rushing.
  • An honourable mention category should be added to the ribbon for people who have an expedition time of up to 90 minutes. This motivates people attempting the achievement to continue even if they pass the hour mark, and will keep the achievement relevant for people who just miss out.

I also agree with the suggestion for the ribbon to include a parameter for minutes taken, just to make it a little more unique from others. --KerrMcF (talk) 00:51, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

Support I like it. I don't think it needs to explicitly say that it's not the goal of every expedition - that's implicit for every achievement. It's just a fun thing that might occasionally be possible and interesting for some people. I'm fine with the name too. Stevage (talk) 02:14, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
