Participants
Plans
going there in my free afternoon.
Expedition / Photos
This afternoon I had a time window of about two hours. After publishing the geohash coordinates, I briefly checked the surrounding area in Google Street View. It should be reachable.
So I saddled up my motorcycle and drove to Frauenfeld to the coordinates. After a few steps I was able to locate ground zero and made my proofs. This was the first geohash in the capital of the canton of Thurgau.
Afterwards I still had time to visit a special geocache:
Appendix
I don't want to withhold from you which geocache I was able to visit nearby. In Switzerland there is a small geocache series that revives old metal boxes in a different way: CarSharing Nostalgie. Before digitalization, there were already cars that could be used together. The keys and the logbook, where mileage and fuel consumption were recorded, were stored in these metal boxes. Nowadays everything is controlled via apps and the boxes have had their day. Some are still attached and are given a new life. I think these caches are really cool and are always beautifully implemented.
