While the hash point itself was simple enough, I gained a newfound appreciation for how strange I must look when I'm walking into a parking lot at the end of a cul-de-sac and starting to take photos of the rear of somebody's work van. Subsequently, the photo was a little rushed (I was staring into the sun, so I couldn't immediately see its quality!) and I only waited long enough for Geohash Droid's positioning to register as "good enough", even though I was very firmly planted on the spot.

Plans

With a rare few days off work, and with Monday's coordinates known well in advance, I picked today's point strategically. I was hoping to tick off a new graticule (for instance, my home graticule, which I'm still yet to score on) but I made do with a second consecutive visit to the graticule which borders mine. And it wouldn't get much easier than this - the point fell in the middle of a public parking lot on a residential housing estate. It should have just been a simple matter of parking up, exiting my vehicle, taking a photo, and moving on. (Spoilers: It WAS that simple.)

Expedition

With a new episode of the CoPilots podcast dropping that morning, the perfect length for my journey, I was on my way! It was a mostly uneventful trip around Manchester's mostly-busy motorways, until I reached the magic spot in Skelmersdale.

To the victor, a tasty lunch at the nearby Booth's cafe, while I wait for tomorrow's coordinates to be announced!
