A short hike towards the crater from the end of a forest road.

Planning

I hiked through this spot sixteen years ago, only we kept going to the northern lip of the crater. I'd love to do this one, but probably not this day. I recommend it, though! --Thomcat 14:21, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Except that Forest Road 99 is closed as a result of winter storm damage. It's an 11 mile hike or bike to the Windy Ridge viewpoint, and another mile or two beyond that to the geohash. --Thomcat 01:50, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
