Actually, I expect somebody to tell the folks at McMurdo Station in Antarctica about geohashing, and that will end the competition definitively. "motivated partly by outrage that such an important achievement should belong to Michigan," eh? I was going to be content with just holding the record for however long I held it and then wishing it happily on its way. But now I might have to try to lower it again!
