About
As with many of my Midwestern hashes this time of year, it was in the middle of a harvested corn field.
Expedition
This was one of the more ho hum geohashes you'll ever read about. I saw that the day's point was close to I-96, I hadn't geohashed in awhile and I wanted to, and I'd never been to Ionia County before. So off I went! It was an easy geohash to get to. I took a nice Friday afternoon drive up I-96, got off at the appropriate exit, went under the highway, and in less than a mile I was there. I drove up and down the road once to try to determine the best place to park and whose land the hash might be on. I eventually went to the house pictured below. Once there, I knocked on the door and saw one adult quickly run up the stairs inside the door. I waited, knocked again, and no one answered. So I drove across the road to the barn and parked my car. The was no fence, no "no trespassing" signs, and no crops planted, so I decided to proceed. A very short time later, I was at the hash. I took the normal pictures and a couple pictures of I-96 so you could see how close it was to the hash. If you compare the two photos, you can see the cars moving down the highway.
