Way to go! Sorry I couldn't meet you there, I was also off in Victoria. Glad I could convert yet another few people to the misguided ways of Geohashing! Keep Vancouver warm for me while I'm gone! [[User:Thepiguy|Thepiguy]] 14:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Yay! More Vancouver geohashers! I was thinking that you were from far away when I read that your car GPS navigation didn't work in Victoria, but I came to your page and am delighted to see that I may have a chance to meet you, even though you and Elbie didn't meet one another. Any idea how you two managed to miss each other? -Robyn 15:16, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

-- Our GPS just doesn't seem to be able to connect to the satellites when we were IN Victoria! At the ferry terminal, it worked and it still worked when we drove into the city. But, if we start in the city, we can't get a signal at all :(. I forgot to add that we were trying to get a connection the entire time we were going to the geohash and as we were leaving, we finally connected! It would be nice to get a GPS that displays the current coordinates and the date though, so we will probably try to acquire a better one for future geohashes. Looking at Elbie's EXIF data on her photo, it seemed like she got there around 5PM while we were there a bit after 4PM! She knew about our plans beforehand and tried to contact us on Facebook but by that time we had already left and we chose a hotel without internet access so we could have a true holiday. We didn't even know she was going to be there until we got home on Sunday! -Dino and Cooki 16:41, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Aww, rats. She originally planned to be there at 4 p.m., too. Same thing happened to me on my first bicycle geohash. I look forward to seeing you at a geohash, but I'm guessing you won't be in the Sechelt Inlet today, either, eh? -Robyn 17:02, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

--Nope, it's back to the real world and working to pay for school for the two of us :P -Dino and Cooki 03:25, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
