Now as for the nettles, we need to get you a sturdy pair of leather trousers and a long sleeved jacket so that you will not be thwarted again by mere nettles. The Internet is depending on you!  I destroyed a pair of trousers geohashing in thorns, so perhaps you're just wiser than me. -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 01:44, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I've been there! Your description snapped it back, clear as day. The Cutty Sark was being restored then, too: I don't know if it was the initial restoriation or after some intermediate disaster. I saw the foot tunnel, but the person I was with didn't want to go through it because it was just a nasty old tunnel. She didn't understand the intrinsic coolness of walking under the Thames. I can picture the pavement along the walk from there up to the observatory. it is and was indeed a famous place that I think anyone who knows the slightest about the history of navigation must recognize by name. Been there, got the pictures. Instead of posing on the line, my friend and I are posing in front of the clock, using our arms to indicate the time in our home time zones. Thank you for bringing that all back.

-Robyn 01:44, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
