About
On the sidewalk of a house in Mableton Georgia.
Expedition
NWoodruff
I made the short drive out to Mabelton and drove into the 10 meter requirement. I almost decided to pull into the driveway of the house but I saw lights on and pulled up along side the curb. I made it to the hash spot a few minutes after 4pm.
I got out and found the hash spot after doing the GPS dance on the sidewalk and then the driveway of the house. It took about a minute of doing the GPS dance to finally find 1.25 feet to go.
As I was walking back and forth in front of the house, an older gentleman appeared in the window. I could only imagine he was wondering what I was doing.
After taking a few pictures of the eTrex I make it back to my truck for chalk and then write an XKCD on the street. I don't think the guy would have been too happy if I did it on the driveway. The XKCD is only 16 feet from the hash point and wouldn't be missed if anyone else turned up later.
I sat in my truck for about 15 minutes waiting to see if anyone else would show up especially since Kajong said that he would make Saturday meeting from now on two weeks ago. Last saturday I was in the Toccoa Grat and wasn't expecting anyone to show up.
I was also half expecting LuxMundi to show up to at such an easy Geohash... Slacker.
I then took a picture of the time and left for Norcross.
