Modern web browser

My version of FF doesn't do this; it prompts me to open pidgin instead. Should we possibly reword this and add a reference to mibbit? --joannac 00:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

That is doing the right thing, but maybe not the intended thing. Your browser setting say pidgin is the way to handle irc:// links. re-wording would be appropriate, as would the double-linking thing like on the front page e.g.:
* Join #geohashing chat on foonetic  with your own IRC client or using your web browser.

I haven't been able to get the IRC chat working (when clicking on the Mibbit link, as I don't have an IRC client). Is something wrong on my end, or on the chat's end? -Haberdasher (talk) 15:22, 6 April 2013 (EDT)
