Would IP addresses come up as user pages?

You can create a user page for an IP, and they have talk pages too, just in case someone with that IP reads their talk page.. however, you cannot create the actual user with the name of the IP. And without a registered user, you will not be able to set up your preferences, and be plagued forever by those annoying captchas. -- relet 15:52, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

User page template?

I think it might be worth it to create a User Page template similar to the ones we use for new expeditions. I know that a lot of new users are a little intimidated by the wiki and are uncomfortable with editing at first. I know that I cheated and copied someone else's format when I was creating mine. Thoughts? --Meghan 16:18, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
