As the hashpoint was about a 10 minute drive from my home, and with no plans for the evening, naturally I decided to go to the hashpoint today.  It was fairly simple as I was familiar with the area.  I set out from my apartment with the Power Rangers theme blasting, my adventure underway.  Upon arriving at the Expo Center at about 7 p.m., I noted the empty parking lot and blank building.  As I drove into the lot, I noticed a police car and another car sitting about 200 feet from the hash point.  Realizing how suspicious it may look for me to drive into a dead-end section of the parking lot behind an abandoned building, I almost considered not going up to the point itself.  Realizing that I had the internet on my side, I rejected this idea and continued.  I got out of the car and hung around the hash point for about 10 minutes, getting the usual proof and leaving the internet's mark on the spot.  To my surprise (and relief), the officer did not bother with me.  My task done, I returned to my stoop in time for dinner.

Expedition

(I would have liked to have taken a picture of the VUPD car, but feared it may have raised further suspicion, thus I let it go... this time.)
