Been planning to go to one since I read the comic.

Refuse to go by car.

Every few months I remember about hashing, look up the coordinates, and find them too far away.

Now, I have a python script in my autostart to calculate the distance every day.

Maybe that will help. It did! I have now been to (1) geohash.

2011-04-16 50 6 - Cycled to the Saturday hash near Frechen, dragging Toto along.
2011-04-30 50 7 - Hiked to Röttgen, finding a surprisingly convenient path to the hash

by reaching the (50, 7) geohash on 2010-04-30 on foot, travelling a distance of 15 km.
