It was in the middle of a motorway and it would not be possible to stop in the road. Had the smartphone with the geohashing app ready in my lap and the camera in my right hand. Kept an eye on the road and one on the smartphone. Kept driving as much as possible in the middle of the road (quite empty roads) and counted down the meters before reaching target. 400..300..200..100..75..50..25.. took a photo with the camera hoping it would be close (give or take 30 meters off). Kept driving and tried to get a glance at the picture taken, if not visible/blurry or otherwise useless I could drive back the same road again if necessary. But I didn't have to do that, the picture was perfect. I got within 4 meters from the geohashe, at speed 110 km/h at night. Whoa! I felt great, but then suddenly remembered, the time? Were to find it, well a picture of the clock and speedometers made it. By that time I had turned off the motorway and the speed had dropped. Took a photo of the moon after parking and making absolutely sure every picture was alright before returning home after work that night earning myself the first midnight geohashe achievement. |

Plans
Realised at work (at a customers office) that the following days geohashe would be on the road home. Decided to work almost until 24.00 to be able to pass the place at midnight for a Midnight geohashe.
Expedition
Worked until 23.45 and had to leave customers office before the alarm went off (at 24.00). Said goodby to the customer and prepared the camera/GPS/car for a quick ride to the geohashe location about 3.5 kilometers away.
