Remove this section if you don't want an image at the top (left) of your report.  You should remove the "Image:" or "File:"

tag from your image file name, and replace the all upper-case word IMAGE in the above line.

And DON'T FORGET to add your expedition and the best photo you took to the gallery on the Main Page! We'd love to read your report, but that means we first have to discover it! :)

Expedition

I thought I would fuel the expedition with a stop at Spudnut... but they are closed on Sunday. What's the point of that?

Went south on 395 to the pull off and then followed (yet more) dirt roads to a sign labeled "No Trespassing No Hunting" - does hunting for Geohash points count? If I only pursue one of the activities does the sign apply to me? Will logic save me?

While I pondered my fate, a truck drove by and so I followed him to the Benton Ranch office. Making a quick inquiry, he said "Sure you can drive around, just don't go into the corn." Score!

The Geohash point was indeed located in a patch of growing corn, which I respectfully failed to trample. I circled the spot, the closest I could come was 0.797 km North of the spot, and then 0.748 km east of the spot. Had this not been growing season, I could have easily reached the exact spot.

Besides all that, the expedition showed me a beautiful vista of the Columbia River, and was the first (and only?) Geohash on the Washington side of this split graticule.

Time to drive north and visit Another Geohash!
