This is a proposal made on 2014-01-12. Please leave comments and suggestions on Talk:Geobrush achievement, indicating your thoughts on the proposal, including:
  • Support - you think this proposal should be added with zero or minor changes
  • Do not oppose - you think it's boring/meh/not for you, but it wouldn't harm to have it created
  • Oppose - you have a specific reason as to why this ribbon should not exist (state this reasoning in your comment)
  • Needs work - you think the achievement should be created after more significant changes have been made

See Proposed achievements for more information on this process.

This achievement is dedicated to the great American painter, art instructor, and television host Bob Ross.

Background

You can find enormous amounts of photos in this Wiki, with a lot of happy little trees and happy little clouds..
But there is more in art than photography! And - as Bob has taught us - everyone can be an artist!
So let's honour all the non-photo artists in our community with this special achievment.

Requirements

  • Design a piece of art (painting, drawing, print, engraving, collage, what the heck - but no photo!) showing the Hashpoint of your expedition or another nice view.
  • It's not necessary to create it completely and immediately on the spot. So you are allowed do draw sketches or take snapshots and continue processing later at home.
  • Real passionate artists, of course, let their impressions flow directly and can not be chased away neither by Mother Nature nor nightfall. ;)
  • There's no need for absolute realism or greatest details.
  • Your work doesn't have to be a masterpiece and there are no restrictions for format/size but it should be more than a rough sketch (in fairness and so, you know?)
  • Please don't pass off any real photo as Hyperphotorealistic painting. That's ridiculous.

Now beat the devil out of it and always remember:

We don’t make mistakes here, just happy little accidents.
