Location

At (roof/front room of) a house in a suburb (Kaleen) in north-west Canberra.

Participants

Plans

My wife was having folk over for a choir rehearsal. I planned to go out.

Expedition

Just before the women arrived for the choir rehearsal, I went out.

Kaleen is several suburbs away from where I live, and I drove through the very welcome rain and parked across the road. I took several pictures.

I wrote down the web address of this page on the map. I went to the door, could see children's toys in the window where the hash position was situated. A child answered the door and I asked for the parents. The man who came to the door seemed unimpressed by the celebrity of Geohashing visiting his house - or maybe my explanation -- but accepted my paper with the web address written on it. He may be more impressed after visiting the Geohashing site.

Down the road, I saw something unexpected; a dray (an early bullock wagon, with eight wheels, most likely two four-wheel wagons coupled together) obviously being restored. It is huge! (See pictures.)

A personal note: It has been a torid ~4 months since my last hash. There was an overseas trip when I had no luck even chancing nearby a hash, even in retrospect. And, some medical issues. But, I'm back!
