Thanks for the note on the new notification system. I've added a section about alternative notification systems to that page, and suggest to people that the one(s) in that list might be easier to use. I have no qualms whatsoever about people creating new (and probably better) systems for anything I have done, because I don't spend nearly as much time on this wiki as I used to.
