I have to go to a funeral in "the North" tomorrow and the hashpoint was so nice to come very close to the Autobahn. So I will just leave the Autobahn and have a short walk to the aimed point. Might become my first formal attire hash. I will arrive around high noon, but it may become half an hour earlier or later.

Expedition

Nearly everything went as planned. I started in Speyer at 11:10 and reached Mörstadt half an hour later. I drove throug Mörstadt but couldn't find a place to leave my car next to the path that lead to the hashpoint, so I drove on to Gundheim. I left my car at the edge of the village where I wasn't allowed to drive any further. It was just 750m to go to the hash. I changed my shoes for that as I knew that the hash is situated in a field and most of them are ploughed at this time. The hashpoint was 20 m inside of - surprise - a fresh ploughed field. I took some pictures and walked back. All in all an 8 KM detour taking 40 minutes. Although I came into a traffic jam on my way I reached the funeral in time.

Achievements

DODO earned the Land geohash achievement by reaching the (49, 8) geohash on 2015-02-19.

I read the rules again. "Nice shoes" are obligatory, so I missed the formal attire-ribbon again.
