Plans

Getting there. But, I had a mud bog jump onto the track.

Expedition

1PE

I drove out over lunchtime. I knew that there is a service track (wheel-ruts only) along the northern side of the railway line that forms the boundary of the Australian Capital Territory, that has the Kowen Forest beside it. I got to a bog where the recent rain had filled up a hole, about 2km short of the hash. I tried driving through and quickly realised that I should get the car out! The car tyres were screaming but it finally slipped enough to reverse out. Stupidly, I tried again on what I thought was firmer ground on the side of the bog hole, but it was quickly as bad and I was lucky for a second time. That was it! I took some pictures and got out with a dirty car, and the pictures to prove it.

The expedition ended, un-officially, with the high pressure hose at a car wash. I got most of the mud out from the tyres, mud-guards (it's all in the name, you see), and underneath.
