Remove this section if you don't want an image at the top (left) of your report.  You should remove the "Image:" or "File:"

tag from your image file name, and replace the all upper-case word IMAGE in the above line.

And DON'T FORGET to add your expedition and the best photo you took to the gallery on the Main Page! We'd love to read your report, but that means we first have to discover it! :)

On September 4th, 2015, a friend and I (Subotai45) visited the hash for the southern Philadelphia gracticule. It was our first time geohashing (and predictably, my first time writing one of these, so forgive me for all the errors), but a perfect set of events lined up - we had summer work we really didn't want to do and the point was maybe four minutes from my house, six from his.

I told him about geohashing, and that the point was in my town! He immediately suggested we go, so I drove over, picked him up, and parked in the nearby fence contracting place. I told him that if anyone were to ask, we were "geocaching" - because people generally understand that version, and it's close enough for our purposes. Expedition

Luckily, the lady had a son who geocached and generally got it - although she probably was concerned when a couple of guys started walking down the road, then disappeared down a very, very steep him into an extremely littered patch of forest.

But we found a golf ball alongside the dozens of glass bottles, so it was all worth it. But I learned that I should bring a trash bag next time.
