Expedition

Was traveling to Denver for a cousins wedding this weekend. During the layover in Chicago, I checked the coordinates and was happy to see I wasn't missing anything in the Buffalo Graticule. Not expecting much, I then updated the Graticule in the Hashdroid app to see what was going to be around the Denver area. Not only was this hash not at the top of an inaccessible mountain, but it was only a 20 minute detour from our route to Fraser, CO where the wedding is taking place!

I was already in charge of the rental car, so I informed my captive mother and sister that we would be taking a slight detour to the Air-bnb. We ended up meeting an aunt and uncle at the car rental counter and they also drove with us as the plan was to get lunch together.

Punching the details into Google maps, we had no trouble navigating to the hash area, besides some sections of heavy traffic. Finding a place to park, I explained the game but no one was interested in walking over with me. Walking around the wooden fence to the front where the fence ended, I did a quick GPS dance to locate the hash and got my pictures. Another Graticule concurred, I headed back to the car and we found a place to get lunch.

Before we got to the house, we found a really cool hike south of Georgetown. There was still a lot if snow and we had to be careful not to exert ourselves too much (low-landers at 11,000 feet/3,500 meters). What a great day!
