The achievement can be claimed when you reach a geohash by bus, train, subway, or other mass transit on the correct day, and take a photo of yourself containing the necessary proof.

Regular ferries or other over-water transport can count for a Water Geohash and a Public Transport Geohash, if the geohash is in the water along the route.
