π π π (log from April 2020)

Our trip around the Baltic Sea was coming to an end, this was the last day and we needed to be home by midnight – but we had a lot planned on the way. We started north of Copenhagen at the Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand where we went for a walk, then continued to the city of Roskilde with its huge Cathedral (both World Heritage Sites), the most important church in Denmark. We still weren't sure whether we wanted to take the ferry across the Fehmarn Belt or the Great Belt Bridge home, the ferry route was shorter but only had distinct leaving times and we might have had to wait (they both cost about the same). So we postponed the decision until after we had visited Stevns Klint, famous cliffs in the south-east of Zealand. We decided to visit this hash on the way there, underestimating the detour it implied (33 km, half an hour of driving). But we hadn't gone geohashing in more than three weeks and wanted to do one before we arrived back home.

So after 50 min we arrived at the hash in sight of the village of Nordrup and parked on the grass to the side of a private drive. Then we walked 250 along the edge of a field before finding the coordinates 30 m farther on the field. We went back and continued our journey to Stevns Klint, visiting the magnificent cliffs. Now, taking the bridge would be a detour, but the ferry had increased its price or had longer waiting times or took off less frequently, so after a long dicussion we decided to take the land route because we wanted to visit Christiansfeld on the mainland. Also, another geohash lay achievably on our way, and we had wanted to do a multihash for some time. So we drove the 187 km to 2019-09-24 55 9 in the west of Funen, which took well over two hours, as it got dark. The story of our day continues there.
