Participants

Plans

Luke and Gabe, this time joined by Amanda, decided to go for their second hash in a row in hopes of achieving the "Consecutive Geohash Achievement" for the first time. The trio loaded up Emily (the aforementioned dog) in the car and headed out for about a 45-minute drive. They justified the trip by also planning to stop at a local brewery on the return home.

Expedition

The trio, accompanied by Emily (the aforementioned dog), arrived at a small neighborhood park near the hash after driving for about 45 minutes. They then set out down a wooded nature trail toward the location. Both the trail and weather were lovely, although the (about) 5 inches of snow that had accumulated over the past week was, by this point, almost completely melted and had left in its wake a considerable amount of mud. After a 20 minute walk, navigating streams, snow, and mud, the trio reached their second hash in two days, awarding themselves the "Consecutive Geohash Achievement".

Geocache

As on the previous day, Luke and Gabe decided to check for any geocaches which may be nearby. One cache was marked on the map as being within ~400m from the hash, but was unable to be found after 15 minutes of dedicated searching (the cache had previously been marked as potentially missing).

However, a second cache was marked as being 919m from the hash. After a quick jog, this cache was found by Luke. Unfortunately, the cache was empty and contained no log for the finders to sign. Additionally, despite the distance from hash to cache being narrowly within the bounds, Luke and Gabe have elected to award themselves the "Hash Collision Honorable Mention Achievement".
