The geohash is near Kehrsatz (canton Bern), not far away from the geohash from Nov. 6th, 2012.
Who Went
TheOneRing - by bike public transport.
The Expedition
TheOneRing
The trip will be very alike to that of Nov. 6th, 2012: I will go by bike on the same road to the geohash, which is only approx. 2.4km away. I'm not sure yet, whether I will go in the morning on my way to the office or in the afternoon. ...Yes, this was the plan, but everything turned out to be a little bit different.
The plan with the bike crashed in the morning as I had to go to the office really early: half past six. During the day, nothing really improved and at 5pm I said: now or never; knowing full well that I have to continue to work at home.
Unlike yesterday, the weather was very nice, sunny and quite warm. I took the train to Kehrsatz, which turned out to be a new double deck train. Well, I know the way very well for two reasons: first, in Kehrsatz I have to change to a bus when I have to go to our observatory (I'm an Astronomer by the way) and second, I went by bike there several times.
From the train station, the geohash was 1.5km as the bird flies and even the total way was just 1.7km, though straight up a hill. The geohash itself was on a field, which could not decide, whether it should be muddy or covered with snow. The geohash was on the muddy part. I took the usual photographs, amongst others a nice panoramic view of the hill on the opposite (called Solrüttiwald).
Maybe I was not the first one today at the geohash, because there were footsteps directing to the geohash, and maybe it was the very same person, who wrote on the talk page. I also took a photo of those and walked back to Kehrsatz, to go home by train and to finish work at home.
