UDOT still says the road will be closed in the fall, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Approached from the north, and the main roads were dry, but the grassy area was snowy. The side roads in the campground were part snowy part muddy, but easily navigable in my car (though there was a 10 foot wide puddle of unknown depth I was able to go around. It was a short walk from a campsite or something? It was hard to see what was what with all of the snow on the ground. It was nice and serene with all the untouched snow.

Plans

In the morning, check UDOT to see if the road is actually closed, then head up. (Approach from the North, because the road is more likely to be closed south of the hash than north of the hash.

Expedition

UDOT still says the road will be closed in the fall, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Approached from the north, and the main roads were dry, but the grassy area was snowy. The side roads in the campground were part snowy part muddy, but easily navigable in my car (though there was a 10 foot wide puddle of unknown depth I was able to go around. It was a short walk from a campsite or something? It was hard to see what was what with all of the snow on the ground. It was nice and serene with all the untouched snow.
