This award is for geohashers who were fully prepared for the adventure before them, but just couldn't bring themselves to do it.
Maybe you had the whole thing planned, right down to bringing a GPS-shaped cake with which to bribe your way into a stranger's living room. You got half way up their front walk and suddenly it hit you. "What am I doing? How does this make any sense? The Internet told me? This is the same Internet that produced g****e.cx and that sends me all that spam?" And you chickened. You went home and ate your cake by yourself, never knowing if your soulmate was behind that door.
Maybe you made a giant banner, and were planning to unfurl it at the hashpoint, in a busy public place. But when you got there you were overcome by the apparent normalcy of everyone, and you chickened.
Or maybe you brought a boat, and a lifejacket, and even a paddle, but just before casting off into midstream you wondered if perhaps Kansas rivers have waterfalls, and you chickened. (Note: this may also be called the "sober second thought" achievement).
You most certainly may not take this achievement for sitting at home, too chicken to even try geohashing. It is awarded to those who gathered everything they needed and got close enough to try.
Proof
A picture of yourself with your maps, snacks, Taj Mahal bouncy castle, and whatever else you thought you would need for the expedition, cowering short of the coordinates, along with a description of how you were overcome with doubts about the expedition.
Ribbon
Placing this ribbon on your page should result in other geohashers coming by to leave encouraging notes on your talk page. This really is a sport you can do. But you may take pride in not being so caught up in the moment that you held back from doing something that was against your nature. Other geohashers must work together to change your nature.
