The Dumbarton graticule is at latitude 45, longitude -67. Split almost equally between Maine and New Brunswick by the border and St. Croix River, it contains a lot of forests and lakes, with significant rural settlement, but few large towns.
The New Brunswick area is mainly English speaking in the south (Maine almost completely English) and the graticule is fairly accessible, though many hashpoints will be out in Mother Nature, and you will need a passport to cross the border starting January 2009.
