Hijackal started hashing in 50,7, but will move three graticules south this summer. Some weeks he will be living in 47,7 and working in 48,7. Lots of geography here.

He had been planning to go to one since he read the comic, but his refusal to go by car makes things harder.

Every few months he would glance at the coordinates, find them too far away for his cycling capabilities, and forget about hashing again.

Now, he has signed up for the wiki and a python script calculates the distances to the closest hashes every afternoon, when they become available for the next day, so he can decide whether to go.

This has helped a lot, and he has now been to several hashes, dragging along the innocent and meeting random strangers. One of his former dragalongs has even been dragged into creating an account here.

Hijackal earned the Land geohash achievement by reaching the (50, 6) geohash on 2011-04-16.

Hijackal earned the Bicycle geohash achievement by cycling 70.1 km to the (50, 6) geohash on 2011-04-16.

Hijackal earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging Toto to the (50, 6) geohash on 2011-04-16.

Hijackal and a dragalong earned the Walk geohash Achievement by reaching the (50, 7) geohash on 2011-04-30 on foot, travelling a distance of 15 km.

Hijackal and a dragalong earned the Meet-up achievement by meeting Mampfred and LadyBB (+1) at the (50, 7) geohash on 2011-04-30.
