  • Do not oppose - you think it's boring/meh/not for you, but it wouldn't harm to have it created

  • Needs work - you think the achievement should be created after more significant changes have been made

SELF-SERVING statement

If this achievement is allowed, I (1PE) would claim the "Foreign Embassy" achievement for 2012-06-05 -35 149.

The concept

This award calls for the geohasher to visit a 'foreign' country to visit the geohash, that is, not the country of normal domicile meaning not where the geohasher lives normally.

For instance, the geohasher is:

  • a citizen of Switzerland;
  • lives in Italy;
  • visits a geohash in France, Austria, or Belgium (or Brazil, Australia, Mexico, etc) but perhaps also Switzerland, but NOT Italy;
  • visits a geohash on the 'soil' of a foreign nation (eg within the embassy of that nation, that is deemed under international conventions to be part of the 'foreign' nation, and the unlikeliness of this part of the achievement makes this a special category of "Foreign" deemed "Foreign Embassy".)

Picture

Picture to substantiate claim to have reached a "Foreign Embassy" geohash.

Generally, the picture should substantiate the requirements, if at all possible. An example would be as shown in the image here.

Achievement requirements

Would be the usual requirement of reaching the coordinates within accuracy requirements, and taking one or more pictures on location, in a way that is substantiating the claim.
