The hashpoint is about 1 mile from my aunt and uncle's house in Roslyn where we are staying over the weekend. I was able to convince the others in the party to drive to the hashpoint after lunch, since it was just a few minutes out of our way.

This is the first hashpoint I have reached outside of the South Florida area.

Expedition

After lunch at a nearby diner, we drove a short distance east on Northern Blvd. We passed the entrance and had to turn around to reach it, but otherwise we had no trouble parking in the DeMatteis Center's lot and then finding the hashpoint under a tree.

Dad chose to stay in the car. My sister and her fiance joined me on foot to find the hashpoint and take pictures. They were curious about what I was trying to do, but I think my sister was mostly annoyed that I am willing to do things like this, but I still haven't joined FaceBook...
