There were dense banks of fog - the kind that forms over warmer, low lying wet areas. I followed a public footpath and reached the banks of the river Chet. Closer to the hashpoint, there was another waterway, too wide and deep to wade. The hashpoint was on the far side in a meadow with frisky bullocks who were fretting and running backwards and forwards even though I was 140 metres away. The fog banks were drifting in a very slight breeze and I spotted a place to cross the waterway. This was completely hidden only minutes earlier. I climbed a gate and crossed the water. There were more gates. There were no more physical barriers between me and the hashpoint but this one failed my "no damage, no disturbance" rules so I went no further.
