Pastori and Wife woke up in a cottage by Lake Bodom at 6:10 am. Behind them was a four-day-trip visiting grandchildren and friends in southern Finland. They intended to make a quick get-away before the big ringway would be flooded with morning commuters and head toward their home in the north. After a quick morning they just about managed to slip through the morning rush-hour. Their choice of route home was influenced by two possible hashpoints. The first point was as close as Hartola, near some houses. It was only 9:30 am when they reached the point. Pastori pulled over to a dry pile of twigs and wondered whether the hashpoint was actually there. It was still about 30 metres to the point. After a bit of searching around, Pastori shrewdly took the car around to the other side of the point and lo and behold, there was a paved road and a yard, where they were able to reach the point at an accuracy of 2.23 metres. Piece of cake, Pastori chuckled to himself. After a tasty lunch, they continued on to the next hashpoint.
