Expedition
Pastori and Wife continued on their journey towards yet another new graticule. The storm and rain clouds from the previous day had dissipated leaving behind white clouds moving against the sunny sky. The day looked to be a hot one so Pastori found a nice spot for a swim in the river at Kokemäki. In their refreshed states they continued toward Kauvatsa and Viinamäentie. Then suddenly they were near the point already, only 20m from the road but alas! They were faced with the unfortunate reality of a field full of growing oats.
Pastori had to decide whether or not he was willing to trample over someones bread and butter but the distance was so small that in the end he put on his Wellies and trod onto the field. The crops undulated almost level with Pastori's armpits. The proximity readings from the satellites were fluctuating but as soon as Pastori was able to get an acceptable distance, 7.276m, he turned around, thinking that was close enough and not wanting to trample on the crops any more than strictly necessary.
After driving for another while Pastori found another nice spot for a swim after which they headed for their next lodgings. Tomorrows hashpoint seems to be a little too challenging.
