I rode my bike to this one!
The most harrowing part of the journey was at the beginning and end: I needed to ride for a couple of kilometers before I got to the first bike lane on my journey. Even the new bike lanes the city is putting in this summer won't make it all the way out to where I live. Such is the price to pay for reasonable rent.
After I made it to the Dawes bike lane, I rode north to Taylor Creek Park, a park that contains a creek called Taylor Creek. It also has one of the nicer multi-use paths in the city, which I followed out to the DVP. The trails out by Thorncliffe Park are very confusing, and could benefit from more signage! After asking for directions, I continued up north through E. T. Seton Park (which you may recall from my previous geohashing expedition there) and then along Wilket Creek to Edward Gardens.
Edward Gardens is a fantastic little botanical garden that I am glad to have discovered! From the entrance to the park, it was just a short walk up to Lawrence Avenue East where the hashpoint is. After snapping a couple of pictures and taking a much-needed rest, I headed back.
