Eastern Time (ET) as used on this wiki refers to the United States Eastern Time Zone, which is defined as:
- UTC -5 hours during Standard Time
- UTC -4 hours during Daylight Saving Time (second Sunday in March - first Sunday in November)
The New York Stock Exchange, which publishes the opening value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average used in the algorithm, opens at 9:30am ET on most weekdays.
