A field off the canal near Ratho

The first decent weather for a while. Shane and Kenny decided to cycle to the Carvery at Ratho Park taking in the location. Bryn, Nye and Ian want to come too.
Expedition
We cycled along the canal towards Ratho, turning off to get a slap-up meal at the Ratho Park Carvery. Nearly everyone had pudding too, so we were a little after 4pm before we left. We returned to the canal and headed out in search of the hash.
The canal is on an embankment here, so we had to scramble down and hop over the drainage ditch to get in to the field. those with the shortest legs found this the hardest.
We then followed the tracks of the tractor through the field so as not to damage the crop. We got within a few metres of the hash, but decided not to do any damage by trying to finish the job precisely.
We returned to the bikes the way we'd come and cycled back in to town, stopping at the Outdoor Gym at Hailes Quarry Park for some extra exercise on the way.
