Discovered the point was there while riding BART back to Fremont, so decided to make it a public transit hash.
Expedition
Took the 181 to downtown SJ. Got there really hungry, so stopped for a spot of lasagna in a bar N grill. The hazards of not drinking - I didn't realize the happy hour included half price food items and ordered something else.
Hunger sated, get on the light rail and down to Blossom Hill station.
Walk through goodwill donation area, around sketchy strip mall, and behind office building to reach hash.
I was afraid I'd be defeated at the last moment, since it was in the middle of what looked like it might be a heavily traveled major street. Turned out the GPS was crummy and it 'arrived' while still on sidewalk.
Take obligatory stupid grin and geohash screen shots, and get out. It's not a great place to hang out.
On way back pick up a slushy (Banana flavor) at the 7-11 in the strip mall (picking up geosquishy).
I've recently bought an Android, so I'm no longer no batteries.
Walk back to the light rail. Sketchy character who'se been eating a hot dog in front of the 7-11 follows me, and things look iffy. Fortunately a group of kids show up on skateboards and when I get to the station there are other riders.
Light rail back to downtown SJ. Hmm... the route finder says to wait for the nb 181, and it's later... and later... and I'm wondering if it's running. I'm about to give up and do something crazy involving ACE train when it comes.
Remainder of trip is uneventful
