On the appointed day, we had other plans. On the next day (cheeky, cheating...) I found a window of opportunity and went there.

The gate to the Woolshed was open and people were arriving for a wedding and reception.... so....

First, let me explain that the Yarralumla Woolshed is now a managed venue of the Australian Capital Territory Government, not actually a working woolshed where fleeces are removed. It is rented out for events for folk wanting a quaint place with 'atmosphere'. It truly does still smell of sheep and the lanolin oil of sheep fleece.

I parked adjacent to a horse gate that led to the Equestrian Park beside the Woolshed. There was a track past the western end of the Park to where I knew the hash was sited, and then I reached the 'wrong' side of the horse jumps and scrambled over into the open park.

My GPS took me to a tree which was where the hash is, along the line of the nearby dam on the creek. A portable pump and a farm sprinkler were by the fence at the dam.

Several pics later and, at about 10 minutes past the hour, I returned to the woolshed where the cars had increased in numbers, and no-one was visible. I assume the wedding was timed for the hour.

Pics at the gate and the nearby Scrivener Dam that holds back Canberra's major city lake, Lake Burley Griffin (named for the designers of the city, Walter and Marion Burly Griffin.)
