Expedition

Out in Amherst this morning, I checked the coordinates after a meeting at the transition company I'm working with. I didn't initially see anything good but I did see this hash was reachable and accessible being in a parking lot. However, it was a half hour North and in the wrong direction of home. I did have a meeting with a job recruiter coming up and I knew he had a previous appointment at 11am. I called to see if he could squeeze me in at 10:30 but he didn't want to short me on time. I said I could hang out for a while in the area and meet at Noon and he agreed to that. Now that I had about an hour and a half, my thoughts turned back to this hash. I had just enough time to drive to Niagara Falls and back! A-Hashing I will go!

The drive up was uneventful, but I did take Rt 62 and avoided the tolls on Grand Island spending an extra 10 minutes or so but saving $1. As I pulled into the driveway for the Bob Evans Restaurant in the front, I saw two women standing by the hash, smoking. I decided to hang out in the car for a bit as it was pretty cold and I didn't think they would stick around long. A few minutes later, they headed back to work at the Hampton Inn. Apparently, they can't smoke on the property.

Anyway, I hopped out, and walked over to the side of the driveway and did the GPS dance getting close enough for the pictures. Driving back to Amherst, I went back over Grand Island and paid the $1 toll as it was quicker and I didn't want to be late for my recruiter meeting. Turns out I didn't have to rush as his previous client meeting went a little long too.

Expedition note, with the High temp of 20 degrees and a current weather report of 18 degrees, this is also a Frozen Geohash.
