User talk:Moose Hole
Hey there -- quick question: Are you sure about Drake's Bay for the name of the grat west of San Francisco? It looks to me like Drake's Bay is almost entirely contained in the Santa Rosa grat -- unless I'm not entirely clear on where it is..? --Tapin 01:41, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Did I remove North America from your grat?
North America should be removed from graticules. See Category_talk:North_America.

Heh, found this one on the MediaWiki help page late last week. Enjoy! --Thomcat 19:13, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Yep, that works! -- Moose Hole 19:16, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Your A/S/G code
If that's not a template, I would make it one - fairly standard info one might want to include on their user page, and I've not seen a great deal of standardization in user's infoboxes.
- I'll bet the standard template only does "m" or "f", not "moose" :) --Thomcat 19:45, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- The standard template is called ASG and is being used quite a bit. I modified my local one to make it wider so I could fit "moose" in the S field. I guess I could make it a bit more dynamic but I didn't. -- Moose Hole 19:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Connected graticules
Did you add a trail of graticule pages across the US? I wanted to see how far I could get, just following "neighbors", but I got suspicious when I got to Iowa and I could still keep going :-) -- Jevanyn
- Which direction? I think most of the names are there (and/or ready for use) but not all are created yet. I did that with Washington State, which is just over 50% created now. --Thomcat 16:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure there is now a graticule name for every graticule in the contiguous USA on All Graticules. I tried to change any new neighbors I could find to match what is on that page unless the creator changed the neighbor name along with all other neighboring graticules' links and the all graticules page. I'm sure there are quite a few that I missed that do not match up at this point. The Google Maps version of the map doesn't show all of the defined graticules but that is not something I can fix. -- Moose Hole 17:21, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Oh you meant that I made a trail of actual pages. Yes I think for one latitude I filled in all the empty pages. -- Moose Hole 17:29, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
