Plans
I'm moving out of this graticule and city on Friday after 4 years living here and the gods of geohashing have been kind enough to grand me one last geohash not 2 km from home.
However, I am afraid that this field is fenced since, if I am not mistaken, it's for cattle. That won't stop me to pass by there and see it for myself. I might be wrong and thinking of the field next to this one.
The plan is probably going there in the morning. And also not spend too much time. I want to avoid the heat and I still have some last packaging and tidying up to do. But a last rodeo on graticule 54,13 won't hurt.
This will also be Winterbuche's last expedition. +1000km going from hash to hash.
Expedition
Well, my suspicions were true. The field was indeed fenced.
As planed, I went there in the morning. Grabbed Winterbuche after breakfast, that would be around 08:30 and biked there, towards Wiek. There is the bridge where I can cross the river (an old bascule bridge I have already mentioned in my past expeditions). And there is no much more secret. In 20 minutes I was on the spot.
I approached the fence with my GPS on my hand, tried to locate the haspoint in the near distance, and I got up to 37m close to it. Nothing much I can do. I say in the distance the bell towers of 2 of the churches in Greifswald and it was 9:00 and starting to get warm. So biked back home. 20 minutes later and here I am, writing the report.
So, that's it so far for me in graticule 54,13 and with Winterbuche. Hope to be hashing here again soon.
