Deleting redirects
I'm not sure that deleting redirects is a good idea...? --Tapin 17:27, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
I am on record as in favour of standard graticule names, but deleting redirects from obvious alternate names seems counterproductive. San Franciscans anywhere in the world say they are from "San Francisco," and are understood. A new player is going to type in "San Francisco." Do you want him to get a "page does not exist" error? While I can understand cleaning up misspelled graticule names or very ambiguous ones like "Sprngfield," "Washington" or "Victoria," I see no reason to delete unique city names and other recognizable and useful redirects.
