The Machias graticule is at latitude 44, longitude -67. It contains the rocky Maine coast, and is about half ocean. It also contains a small piece of Deer Island, New Brunswick in it's northeast corner.
The settled coast gets progressively wilder as you head towards the northwestern corner of the hash. There is also a ferry that goes from Bar Harbor, Maine to Yarmoth, Nova Scotia that passes through the bottom of the graticule, and would make a unique hashpoint.
